No more rushing to the kennel to drop off or pick up your pets at the last minute when you are already stressed and/or late.

In 1998, when I was traveling internationally for business, I learned firsthand what a difference a professional pet-sitter can make. I was kenneling my dog and cats every month for 5-7 days at a time. Each time I returned from a trip, one or more of my pets had a health or attitude issue. A colleague suggested I try a professional pet-sitter. I took his advice and the rest is history; no more health issues for my pets, the attitude issues were almost eliminated and they were much happier when I returned. I didn’t have the stress and hassle of dropping them off and picking them up from a kennel. It was a win-win for my pets and me!

After taking an early retirement in 2001, my wife and I returned to our home in Solana Beach and started Pet Watch Associates. We both love animals and after our positive experience with our own family pet-sitter, we knew there was a great need for high quality and personalized pet care.

THE OWNERS

Debbie Rayburn, Pet Care Professional and Co-owner of Pet Watch Associates Debbie is a full-time medical assistant. She is also "Nana" to twelve grandchildren with a lucky thirteenth on the way! In her spare time, she takes care of her own pets and helps with pet-sitting on the weekends. Debbie is in charge of keeping the business focused and on the right course.

David Rayburn, Pet Care Professional and Co-owner of Pet Watch Associates David is the primary pet-sitter and manages the day-to-day business activities. He works directly with the associates and trains all new Pet Watch Associates. He is also a licensed Realtor®, a grandfather and a pet lover. David has been a pet-sitter for over 8 years!

THE ASSOCIATES

Our pet-sitters come from various backgrounds but have one thing is common — a love of animals. All of our associates are Red Cross first aid trained in animal care. Additionally, every associate is known personally and professionally by David and Debbie and has been trained to provide the best care to your pets. They treat the pets in their care as if they are their own!

Cathie N., Pet Care Professional Cathie was our first Pet Watch Associate. She has been with us for almost four years. She is a licensed Realtor®, a wife, and mother to three young girls. Cathie says she loves finding new walking paths to exercise the dogs in her care and enjoys the challenge of getting a shy kitty out from under a bed.

Christi M., Pet Care Professional

Christi is a full-time mom to a school-age son and daughter. Not only is Christi a member of the Pet Watch Associate family, but also a member of David and Debbie’s family! Christi loves working with animals and works for Pet Watch Associates while her children are in school. She enjoys being outdoors and exercising the pets in her care. Christi’s children also enjoy walking with mom and the pets when they’re not in school.

Brenda R., Pet Care Professional

Brenda is a full-time office manager for a local physician. Her children are grown and she wanted a fun career where she could work part-time in the evenings and on the weekends. Pet Watch Associates immediately put her to work doing what she loves – caring for pets! Brenda enjoys spending her spare time with wonderful animals and gets lots of exercise as an added bonus!

Sheri G., Pet Care Professional

Sheri is a Registered Nurse working part-time for a local physician and a real pet lover. She has a dog, three cats and a horse. Sheri says she loves pet watching because the pets are always so happy to see her.

Don H., Pet Care Professional

Don is an airplane mechanic, currently under contract with a local military base. He has a demanding and stressful work schedule. He says it is a lot of pressure keeping those birds flying. Don loves pet watching, and says that taking care of animals is very relaxing and reduces his stress level. Don makes sure that the pets in his care get lots of love and attention.
